From April 29th until May 1st Singapore Art Book Fair 2022, one of Asia's leading art book fairs will take place in the Singapore Art Museum! Jap Sam Books will be represented by Thing Books during this event with a dedicated JSB table featuring a selection of our publications.

During the weekend of May 7th and 8th the 6th edition of Ghent Art Book Fair will take place and Jap Sam Books will be there!

On the occasion of the release of jaune, geel, gelb, yellow. Monochrome by artist Antonis Pittas there will be a special book event on May 12th at Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam as part of Thursday Night Live!

This Saturday, April 30th Arjan van Helmond's solo exhibition Vertical Thinking will be festively opened at the Albada Jelgersma Gallery. During this event the audience will get a sneak preview of the publication What speaks to us. Arjan van Helmond, published by Jap Sam Books (more events will follow).

A new solo exhibition by artist Lizan Freijsen is now on view. Softening architecture, covering surfaces, carpets are used to dampen the acoustics in the gallery space of NL=US Gallery Rotterdam.

Friday April 29th in Pulchri in the Hague Jap Sam Books, Studio Renate Boere and Christie van der Haak present Christie's newest publication Celebrating Patterns. Christie van der Haak. We would like to invite you to join us on this festive evening.

The International jury of the Prix de Rome has selected four entries for the shortlist of Prix de Rome 2022 Architecture: Healing Sites from 53 anonymous entries. The shortlist candidates are: Arna Mackic, Dividual (Andrea Bit and MAciej Wieczorkowski), Lesia Topolnyk, and Studio KIWI (Kim Kool and Willemijn van Manen).

Marcel Pinas (Suriname 1971) transformed Club Solo into a collective work studio where the artist will build an interactive installation together with those who are interested. His earlier installation Kibii Wi Koni (Protect our knowledge) consists of several thousand bottles wrapped with pangi fabric. At Club Solo, this work will be dismantled: participants will rearrange the pieces of pangi fabric into a new work title Goontapu.
