Dutch landscape photographer Jan Koster systematically photographed the Dutch coast: the dunes, the sea, the dikes. The end result of his lengthy forays along the Dutch coast, in search of suitable locations, is this beautiful series of photographs, entitled 'Dutchscapes'.

Koster's monumental photographs should be viewed as an extension of the Dutch landscape painting tradition. His images portray the landscape either alone or juxtaposed with one another.

With textual contributions by art historian/critic Merel Bem and journalist Tijs van den Boomen.
